What does it mean to be an entrepreneur?

Well, having started on the entrepreneurial path in 1994 to open Planet Organic, I know what would’ve supported me along that journey!

Being an entrepreneur takes grit.  Talent is great, but determination wins every time.  First you need a great idea.  And then you have to do the work.  Don’t think someone else can write your Business Plan.  Oh, yeah, and the BP is critically important.  Once you’ve created the vision of what you want, the BP is the road map of how to get there.  You define, refine and polish your vision as you make dozens of decisions by committing your idea to paper.

The entrepreneurial journey is hard, but anything worth having is hard work.  That doesn’t mean it’s not fun, but sometimes you have to add the fun back in.  And there are relentless ups and downs, so having support on that path makes it better.   We believe in balance between your work and home life, practiced resilience and taking care of you.

It can be a lonely journey.  We believe it’s best taken in the company of the Beluga Bean family.  Connecting regularly with a mentor and/or group gives a lift of support and inspiration just when you need it.
